Jendidthat Sola Salons A safe space for all! Coming from a long line of hair stylists in my family, the salon environment and cutting hair always felt like home to me. I started giving haircuts from my moms kitchen at 13, and dove right into cosmetology school while completing high school, and have been hustling ever since. Soon, curly girls (and boys) from all over the tri-state area starting gravitating towards my chair and I realized that I had a natural ability to embrace, accentuate and enhance the curly girl experience. Listening to the horror stories of other stylists not understanding the curly girl plight and trying to dominate and dim the light of their crowns, gave me more motivation to get certified and educated in all that the industry has to offer these eclectic and diverse groups of the population who need their hair to be understood! I am also an educator to empower other stylists to be more inclusive in their work and expand their repertoire to service all populations and hair types. Whether you are interested in hand-tied wefts, tape in hair extensions, cut or color, kertains I am well versed in it all and nothing scares me! In addition to dedicating my creative purpose in life to curly girls, I am also a single mom of 2 boys, an autism advocate, an ally to all communities.... ...
